With the presence of Dr. Ali Mohammad Akhoond-Ali, the chancellor of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and Dr. Mehrdad Niko, the head of the Management and Planning Organization of Khuzestan Province, the specialized laboratory of Internet of Things ceremonially was opened in the university.
According to the Public Relations report of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, in the opening ceremony of this laboratory, which was held on the 23rd of October at the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Akhoond-Ali pointed out: Artificial intelligence is one of the fields that all countries are currently seeking to acquire. The chancellor of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz added: Scientific societies are seriously working on nuclear sciences, quantum, nanoparticles, Internet of Things, etc., and thus it can be said that the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries has manifested itself in this field in the new century. He also said: researchers and scientists of our country are moving along with the scientific progress in these fields.
He also emphasized: Students should be able to get engaged in various scientific fields, including Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, quantum, Nano biotechnology, and scientific environments for the growth of technology, science and industry in the province and the country.
Dr. Rashti, director of information and communication technology of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and an academic member of the Department of Computer Engineering also stated that this project was designed and implemented based on the needs of the society. He added: For entrepreneurship, we must develop disciplines that suit the needs of this field. Fortunately, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz has taken fundamental steps in this regard by working in the Internet of Things (IOT). This field is the interface between artificial intelligence and people's daily life, and society can somehow benefit from the benefits of this field.
Dr. Mehrdad Niko said: The necessary infrastructure has been provided for launching of this course, an example of which is the "Specialized Internet of Things" laboratory, so that students can familiarize themselves with their capabilities and work in the market with confidence. It should be noted that the international IoT project, with the aim of launching a skill-oriented master's degree in "Computer Engineering, Internet of Things" has been completed after four years of international cooperation, and the Department of Computer Engineering of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz has initiated the first course for master's students in Internet of Things since October 2023-2024.In this regard, the "Specialized Internet of Things Laboratory" has been equipped with the necessary basic equipment and opened with the presence of a number of provincial and university officials, faculty members and students of the Faculty of Engineering.
