Since the early 1970s, international organizations such as UNESCO and the OECD and institutions of the European Union have been the main proponents of the view that "learning is a lifelong process and that all education should be organized around that principle" (Schuetze, 2006, 289).

Based on that philosophy and since there are a lot of economic, Social, Cultural, political and technological opportunities to work towards lifelong learning in terms of international, national and regional context our university started to establish lifelong Learning Center of Excellence since 2004.

The Center of Excellence in "Lifelong Learning" of SCU, with the aim of educational improvement and development follows the below goals:

• Establishing and developing the culture of continuing education using Islamic texts and principles, and educating managers and experts with the attitude of continuing education
• Providing consulting services such as design, research, development, and assessment in the field of continuing education
• Implementing continuing education programs for the Ministry of Education, industry and public, and private organization
• Evaluating the effectiveness of continuing education programs

• Study of religious and Islamic programs and experiences in the field of continuing education
• Using the experience of previous managers, employers and employees in industries, public and private organizations based on religious texts and global education standards.

Updating the knowledge, insight and skills of individuals, managers, employers, and employees of public and private organizations in order to get acquainted with the scientific and practical aspects of the relevant profession and to meet the modern needs of society based on religious texts and global education standards.
